Emma has always been concerned about the environment and the harmful effects that humans have on our ecosystems. After taking AP Environmental Geoscience and AP Biology, she considers herself a somewhat expert on the topic. From her spiritual journey to Bhutan (the world's only carbon-negative country) Emma was inspired to live life more sustainably, and continually encourages others to do the same. She plans on attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall where she will most likely study environmental biology. One day, Emma hopes to become a conservation biologist, where she will single-handedly reverse the effects that plastic pollution has had on wildlife.
