We are Warsaw Middle School’s 8th grade students of 2018. Together we read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a United Nations document accepted as the common human rights standards for everyone around the world. Each of us has chosen a right that we feel most passionate about. We have researched current events relating to the chosen topic and created artwork with dedication and enthusiasm to appeal to the public with our messages.
Our mission is to spread knowledge and empathy about current human right injustices so that we can build a dialogue about these issues. The artwork in the “You be the Judge: Justice Through Art” gallery presents our thoughts concerning injustices throughout our global community. We have engaged in this display of activism, and have created our art to be shown, with the hope that in viewing this gallery we can inspire courageous citizenship in our community and beyond.
