This is the one pager for our science projects!
In the beginning we started on our exhibition, but shied away after our first research. We never really had a "first project", it was more like: do research on your top three ecoregions, cells cells cells!, groups, ecoregions ecoregions ecoregions! Since ecoregions are our exhibition I wont go too far into that, Ill put a box down towards the bottom of the page. Anyways, cells! This was really fun to learn about! We got to use microscopes and river/lake water, I saw some really cool things! I'm not gonna go into the concept of cells because if I did It could take a whole hour! (but seriously if you want a lecture stop by!)
Elements of the exhibitions
Ecoregions of the United States
We worked for months on this exhibition. After working for the ENTIRE second quarter we finally got it done. I was assigned the Mid-Boreal Uplands ecoregion per my request. What is an ecoregion you ask? An ecoregion is a major ecosystem defined by distinctive geography and receiving uniform solar radiation and moisture. We spent months researching our assigned ecoregion and working in digital media to make the individual digital art you see here. I got a Meets on both my intro and my script.
The political ecology of water in the San Juan mountains
In this exhibition we traveled along the rivers of the San Juan watershed. We rowed past campers and fishermen with information about the river we traveled on.
