Goal Reflection: *read goal* I have not completed my goal yet and still need to work on it. One thing that I tried to do was tell myself not to think those things but honestly I don't think that it worked because after I got rid of the thought I came back 3 hours later but I will continue to try to stop those bad thoughts.
My goal for Respect is to not tell myself things that then lead to worry and or stress./Shows Respect to self by using more positive self statements.
I will contribute to accomplishing my goal by telling myself that not everything that my brain says is real, and to tell myself that things don’t have to be perfect and not to start worrying about random things.
Others will know I'm actually doing it when they see me happier, more engaged in class, and not thinking of bad things. They will also see my work improve and I won't be as stressed about getting the work perfect.
The difference it will make is I will be happier and more engaged. Also, my work might be easier to complete so I won’t stress about it as much or it won’t be boring because I’m not as good at what I am doing, I will get better at that and it might be fun.
Goal Reflection: *read goal* I feel that I have completed my goal because I no longer have books or drawings by me, only my snack or computer. I have been distracted by a book or a drawing and be late to line or be asked a question and I don't even know what we are doing.
My goal for Integrity is to be more of a role model for others and not get distracted by other things.
I will commit to my goal by focusing on my work and not having a drawing or a book next to me to tempt me to pick it up and working on it. I also wont talk to my friends until we are done with the lesson and working.
Others will know that i'm actually doing it when they see me looking at and not looking at a drawing. I also wont be asking "what are we doing now?" and I will understand the directions better.
The difference it will make is I will understand directions better and my work might be better too.
Goal Reflection: *read goal* I don't think that I am quite done with this goal yet. I'm not quite working through challenges with my work. For example when we were doing the Maya poetry I kept raising my hand instead of trying to figure out the problem. I feel that I still feel that I need to work on this one.
My goal for Effort is to work through challenges before asking for help.
I will commit to completing my goal by trying to complete the problem before asking for help, and try my hardest to complete the problem then ask for help.
Others will know that i'm actually doing it when they see me learning how to do harder things, and I might be able to get things done faster.
The difference it will make is I will learn new things and be encouraged to try harder things. Also I will learn more and get more done.
Goal Reflection: *read goal* I have not completed this goal because I have not made a set of strategies and i'm not on task all the time. I'm differently not on task all the time because sometimes I will go into the hall and get distracted by Gimkit or Canva.
My goal for refinement is to make a set of strategies to remain focused and on task.
I will commit to completing my goal by making a set of strategies and I will make up a backup set just in case. I will also make sure to follow that set of strategies.
Others will know that i'm actually doing it when they see me on task and focused and, getting my work done better and more on task.
The difference it will make is I will understand the lesson better and my work will be done better
