Organizing Societies:
Examining Government, Law, and Economics Across Time
In this project, students will examine systems of government, law, and economics in order to better understand how and why societies organize themselves in the ways they do. We will investigate the role of specific documents and ancient artifacts as they relate to our modern interpretation of civil rights and citizenship. We will unpack current events and discuss how government, law, and economics impact daily life. Throughout the unit, we will delve into civil discourse with weekly Socratic seminars and end the project with student-led seminars.
