I absolutely love my building! I worked really hard, and it turned out great! I don’t overly like the background of the wall, for there are a lot of eraser marks. I think Japan is really cool so I decided to create a piece of my own after finding a wonderful picture/drawing to use. I would look at the picture more before starting because I made a lot of mistakes that way. I now know how to make one point and two point perspective art and I’m glad I do because it will be helpful in further projects. I was surprised by my shading skills, although I think I’ve had enough of shading for my lifetime. First I sketched my lines using the ruler, then I went over them, added details and shadows, and then voila it was finished!
In this piece me, Jocelyn, and Koen created a hawk diving for its afternoon meal. For line we created cracks in the rock with an ink pen to add depth to the canyon. Next, in color we used warmer colors to represent the day and the warmth of the canyon, while the mouse is a darker blue showing that he is the target (hence the target around him). Furthermore for space, we used painting techniques to create a canyon that is wide and spacious. Continuing into texture we added canyon colored paper for the feather off canyon parts making a sensory storm for the admirer. For form we accomplished this by making the canyon look deep and long by using paper and paint. Shape is how we ripped the paper to mark it look like rugged canyon walls. Finally for value we used different shades for the clouds, paper, and canyon walls.
I choose a northern harrier. The northern harrier primarily hunts small mammals but it will also settle for insects, Carron, and even other birds. The bird loves open space thus it living in grasslands and marshlands. The process went ok it wasn’t my best work but I would improve on my right wing painting next time and I would figure out a way to add legs. I did like the painting towards the end though!
I LOVE the dragon and the shading, I feel I did a great job considering I’ve never used those markers before. I don’t really like how the yellow spots got colored green when I went over them. The inspiration for this art piece was the fact that I love dragons and the Earth. I would change how I shaded the continent it looks more like waves than a fade of green. I learned how to to use our imagination to combine two different things into one big hidden art piece. How it turned out to look like an actual Earth surprised me. To make it I started with an outline then I added details and colored with the markers. To get the markers to blend was a very grueling process…
This art piece is of the Gur - E - Amir Mausoleum in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Information.
