My favorite part of the artwork was probably the bace, that was the best human bace that I have ever drawn. My least favorite part was the fact that I traced my arms with something that couldn’t be erased making the clothes look see though. My inspiration was well me! I would change the parts that I traced so that my clothes didn't look see though. The concepts that we learned about were color, texture, and shape. Nothing really surprised me other then how it turned out. How I created this was that I started with a base then started to add the details like the clothes and the face.
My favorite part of this artwork is probably the fish, I think that they turned out really good and sparkly! My least favorite part is probably the fact that the fishes sizes are off and that they are facing the same direction. I originally intended to have them twirl in different directions like the Yin Yang. The inspiration for this was probably the art sale because I originally intended to sell this piece, and a game that I have where you turn koi into dragons. I would change the size of the koi over the direction because the size difference bothers me the most. I didn’t use any specific concepts, this was more of a just for fun piece of art. The koi surprised me because I didn’t expect them to turn out this good. To create this piece I started by making and cutting out the koi, then I made the background and the Yin Yang. Finally I glued the koi and the Yin Yang to the paper.
My favorite part of this art peice is the left foot. My least favorite part is the sharpie coloring because it started to blead into the werehyenas design. The insapartion was the legend of the werehyena. The legend is about a werehyenas, they always come out during the night and can disquise themselves as humans and normal hyenas. What surprised me the most was probably the actual werehyena, I didn't expect to have made the werehyena so much like the picture!
For the first country I was assigned the Maldives. Their traditional art style of the Maldives is typically drawn from the islands themselves. This art called Lau Jehun or Laquer work, is a pot that is colored with the juice of different trees. This work can go on many different materials like wood, glass, metal, skin and bone, egg shells, paper, and mud or pots. This pot is used in peoples daily lives by using them as decor or for ceremonial purposes.
I chose Ireland because I have always wanted to go to places like Ireland and Scotland. The traditional arts are more focused on the myths of there culture and metal work like brooches and Celtic trees. This art is used in day to day life to honor the gods in there myths and to have a very cool home decoration. Artists chose to make this art because it honors their gods from their myths to make sure that the god that they are honoring does not bestow bad things upon their family. They typically used bronze, paint, and sometimes plants. The Celtic moon was very popular during the Irish Bronze Age, people don’t know when the Celtic pattern came to be in Ireland but they think that it came to popularity during the Bronze Age. I would probably make the moon look better if I ever made this piece again. I think that the most interesting art style of Ireland is probably the metal work.
