Herbs generally refers to the leafy green or flowering parts of a plant (either fresh or dried), while spices are usually dried and produced from other parts of the plant, including seeds, bark, roots and fruits. Herbs have a variety of uses including culinary, medicinal, and in some cases, spiritual. However, the current generation are lack of the knowledge about the benefits of herbs. Therefore, with the initiative to maintain and increase awareness of herbs and their importance and use in medicine and cuisine, SMK Convent Pulau Tikus has created its own Herbs Garden. The Herbal Garden at this school can provide an opportunity for students to get closer to the natural herbs and enhance their knowledge in this. In addition, the program also allows students to understand its impact on the environment and their role in improving the local environment.
