Methuen Rail Trail Earth Day Cleanup

Post date: Mar 31, 2017 1:19:34 PM

On Saturday, April 22, the Methuen Rail Trail will be celebrating Earth Day with a cleanup of the Rail Trail in Methuen.  This trail navigates from behind the Central fire station all the way to the Salem, NH boarder.  It includes side trails along the Spicket River greenway, and offers people in the city a place to enjoy recreation and physical fitness.

Methuen students, staff and families are invited to join the cleanup.  Students can earn community service hours by signing in when they arrive at the cleanup.  Any school staff and community members interested in joining the clean up effort will get a chance to see and walk the trail.

I hope to see some of you there.  What I nice way to give back, while learning about Methuen's natural resources.

Time: 8:30 am

Place: Depot Parking lot on Railroad St. (behind Central Fire Station)

Attire/gear: Stuff you don't care about, boots, gloves, water
