Communication

What's more important than being able to communicate?  Correct Answer?  Nothing!  Not only is learning to communicate effectively a life skill, it's also one of the 21st Century Learning skills that your future employers want you to have when you graduate college.  There are two types of communication: effective listening and effective speaking.  In this unit, you will learn key strategies to become both an effective listener and an effective speaker.  You will learn the importance of picking the right time to communicate, as well as how to avoid communicating when you're upset or angry.  You will practice listening skills with a partner, while they practice speaking skills.  Oh, and by the way, you will learn these skills WITHOUT using a text message, a tweet, a wall post, or any other form of instant social media!  Nothing but good, old fashioned, face-to-face communication!
