Dance, Yoga & Movement

This awesome new class is an elective option for students that are interested in exploring and engaging in some nontraditional fitness activities. Students will participate in a variety of activities that enhance their fitness level and engage in movements that will allow them to appreciate the variety of methods available to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Students are expected to understand the fitness benefits of these activities and bring positive energy to their elective on a daily basis.

As the quarter progresses students continue to practice their yoga skills and embark on some more challenging yoga poses.

All students are encouraged to try all of the poses but only to their ability. Teachers demonstrate modified poses as well as more advanced poses to meet the needs of and foster growth for all students.
