Goal Setting

What are goals and why are they important?  In this unit, students will learn the Seven Steps to Goal Setting to learn the answer to both of these questions.  Whether you want to learn how to set short term goals or long term goals, the steps are the same.  Students will practice changing unclear, basic goals into highly specific, measurable, well written goals that keep their future in sight and thSeir motivation high.  To wrap it all up, all freshman will write a letter to themselves that includes at least three well written, clear and specific goals that they wish to achieve before graduation.  Then, during their senior week, right before graduation, they will get their letter back from FRESHMAN year to see how it all worked out!
