CGS Receives Project Fit America Grant

It is my pleasure to announce that the CGS has been awarded the Project Fit America Grant, worth almost $20,000. in specialized physical education outdoor fitness apparatus!  The apparatus will be installed this summer, and so long as all goes as planned, will be ready for use in the Fall.  The grant includes professional development for staff, unit plans, and new opportunities for the students at the CGS.  A special thanks goes out to Jayson Ramalho who wrote a large portion of the grant, and to Principal Chris Reeve for his support for the project, and on the completion of the grant application.  Methuen will be the first school in Massachusetts to be awarded this National Grant.  Congratulations to the CGS!
