Mashavara is the Live Consultation during COVID-19 out bark seeks to improve quality care, inclusive education and advocacy for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Mashavara has, therefore, announcing to host the series of best practices from parents, siblings, professionals, schools, NGOs, Hospitals etc. on every Wednesday’s live consolations in order to:
Demonstrate the effectiveness of prevention, care, education, skill training and job placements and other services;
Foster creativity and the importance of empowerment for persons with disabilities and advocating among policymakers;
Raise awareness and disseminate good practices; and
Increase the Mashavara’s focus on providing concrete solutions to the unmet needs in access to medical support, education, skill training, community care and ultimately seeking to improve independence and inclusion and overall quality of life.
Care: including early care, family support, fulfilling high support needs and living arrangements.
Education: from primary to higher education for employable skills.
Advocacy: at all levels from individual to community to the country level.
Following four ways will consider work as good practices:
Create an inclusive culture: developing attitudes, self-identify, diversity champion, leadership awareness efforts helps underscore the importance of inclusion.
Broaden talent practices of persons with disabilities: recognising the skills and managing talent, commitment, partnerships with community-based organizations, engagement with candidates who have unique needs.
Foster wider awareness to combat stigma and stereotype representation and storytelling on values to life, branding materials and increasing self-disclosure.
Prioritize access for all: including physical structures, electronic and digital access, and developing inclusive design, job skills training, accessible software design and artificial intelligence solutions as part of the strategy.

The submission of good practice proposal will be through a specific format (Google Form) available on www.mashavara.live
After submission of your google form, our team will select on the proposals for the presentation in Mashavara.

How to prepare your talk for Mashavara?
Our team will help to plan what exactly you’re going to present. Collaboratively, you can figure out the scope of your good practice. Please remember you will have to speak or sign about your good practices.
Stage: III
Important points to understand about your presentation:
Create a mind map to explore the sub-topics of your topic: feel more confident about delivering the presentation and will give your ideas for points you want to make.
Connect your project/presentation/story/subject matter to audience needs: — so you know how to frame your subject in a relevant way.
Avoid covering too much material or information.
Start with an outline.
Include personal anecdotes to connect to your audience: Great stories expose your flaws and your struggles, what makes them inspiring, and not sharing them is such a missed opportunity to connect with your audience.
Be authentic: imagine that you’re talking to your best friend, and you’ll appear natural and comfortable on stage.
Interact with the audience: Encouraging audience participation
Time yourself: Mashavara has time limits for each talk up to 5m
