Book Binding

In these first lessons, students used patterns from nature to marble papers that they would later use for a sketchbook. In our first class students flicked, swirled, and poured paint into liquid starch and then had help from their teachers to dip and print their paper. The next week, students would find their papers flattened and dried ready to use to create their sketchbooks. Each student learned to cut, fold, and glue a large sheet of paper with some minor adjustments and help from their teachers to create 2 personalized sketchbooks.
