4th & 5th Grade

Over the past four weeks, our classroom has focused on storytelling, narratives, and how they relate to reciprocal relationships. By talking about relationships and examining how artists in the past have used visual language to tell stories, we can start to understand more about each other, build empathy and overall strengthen our relationships. By better understanding one another, humans can create change and community development. Our classroom worked to make personal album covers to “the soundtrack of our lives.” These multimedia pieces represent things we like, things we think are beautiful, and our own artwork to share more about ourselves with our audiences. Students completed these collages over the course of four weeks and incorporated new skills, words, color theory, and more to create their masterpieces.
