French Toast - George Kidess, '21
Background
This simple (and tasty!) recipe is a great way to have a really nice breakfast or brunch. Enjoy when you don't feel like having a Cafe Mac brunch!
Equipment
Mixing Bowl
Non-stick pan
Ingredients
1 egg
1 cup of milk
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Bread (preferably brioche)
Butter
Toppings (syrup, honey, fruit, whipped cream ...etc)
Instructions
1) Mix the egg and milk in a bowl, adding a small pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg
2) Cut the bread into thick slices (around 1 inch thick)
3) Melt some butter in the pan. Dip the bread into the batter, making sure both sides are dipped.
4) Place the bread on the pan and cook until desired color. Feel free to use any toppings you like!
Note: Don't dip the bread into the batter for too long, otherwise it would soak up the batter too much and you will end up with soggy toasts.
