A small prehistoric stone knife, much like the one mentioned in Idaho, has convinced many archaeologists that the knife is a sign that people have lived in Oregon for at least 15,000 years, many tribes came to Oregon, including Paiute, Nez Perce, Shasta, Tillamook, Chinook, and many more came to the land. Europeans are thought to have arrived in the 1500s upon the regions, both Spain and Great Britain claimed it for themselves, but in the end, Oregon was given to the United States.
