Archaeologists recently made a huge discovery in Idaho. A blade like tool made of rock, and you’re probably wondering, “so? Not a big deal.” But guess what! That blade is over 13,500 years old! That means that is a sign of people living there! That means many Native American tribes have been there.
The first non native people to reach Idaho were Meriweather Lewis and William Clark, who came in 1805. Both the United States and Great Britain had claimed the state until 1846. When both regions signed the Oregon treaty, the region was given to the United States.
