Noto Sans is a global font collection for writing in all modern and ancient languages. Noto Sans is an unmodulated (“sans serif”) design for texts in the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts, which is also suitable as the complementary choice for other script-specific Noto Sans fonts. It has italic styles, multiple weights and widths, and 3,741 glyphs.

Noto Sans is free and open source: As such, neither paid licenses nor accreditation are required for use. Download it free from Google Fonts.

Noto Sans is a variable-weight typeface, which means you are able to customize weights and angles to create an infinite number of weights. That being said, we typically stay within these five weights.

Use contrast between heavy and lighter weights to communicate relevant importance, otherwise known as hierarchy, of information.
