Welcome to Les Beaucamps High School. For general enquiries, please contact our school office on 01481 226 040
Les Beaucamps High School recognises that children can be some of the most vulnerable members of society. Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility, but education establishments and the people who work within them have particularly important roles to play. These include:
Proactively working to prevent harm and abuse
Responding to concerns if they arise and supporting the children involved
Sharing information and cooperating with other agencies
If you have any concerns about a child at our school please contact the School Child Protection Officer (SCPO) or Deputy SCPO. Their details are as follows:
The Children (Guernsey and Alderney) Law 2008 requires all States employees (and everyone else working with children) to work together and share information to ensure children and young people get the services they need to achieve or maintain a reasonable standard of health or development. The Islands Safeguarding Children Partnership (ISCP) has established extensive guidance (http://iscp.gg) to promote effective co-ordination and co-operation between agencies providing services to children and families, which must be followed by all people working in education establishments in Guernsey and Alderney, whether paid or unpaid.
Les Beaucamps High School Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy can be found on our policies page.
This policy has been written with reference to ISCP guidance and to good practice, as set out in English guidance document ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (KCSIE). This policy sits alongside other policies that relate to specific areas of school life with safeguarding and wellbeing elements.
Please find our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy below. This is updated regularly in accordance with directives from the States of Guernsey Education Department.
The Multi-Agency Support Hub (MASH) can also be contacted if you feel a child is in need of support services, via telephone (01481 223182) or using the contact form below)
