The Langan Art Club began in March 2015 as a small group of secondary aged students meeting in the school cafeteria once a month and has since grown to include all of Langan School.
Art Club focuses on the collaboration and process of creating art inspired by local and historical events, artists, seasons, and academic themes. Art Club aims to adapt lessons to promote student creativity and problem solving in all aspects of our projects. Art Club also serves as a way for students to socialize with peers of different ages and abilities within our school.
Over the past 8 years, Art Club has continued to evolve in our curriculum, technology, and approaches. In May 2019, we held our first Art Show in the lobby of 314 to showcase students alongside staff submissions. The Art Show is now held annually for one week each May.
Art Club welcomes all students and staff to participate in our monthly meetings. We look forward to continuing to grow with our students!
