What is a multi-dimension variable?

A multi-dimension variable is a field in a data set that can contain lots of different information - not just information about one dimension such as price.

An example of multi-dimension variable would the event type in a set of transaction event data. Another example of a multi-dimension variable would be search terms entered into google. Each element of a multi-dimension variable can be counted and used to create a new column heading in a data set.

Multi-dimension variables capture Event data and Event Feature data. Combining them allows users to unpack unprocessed data and pull out different facets of the events recorded in the dataset.
