Oceanography

During this unit students explored the earth’s oceans and the diversity of life they support, recognize the importance of the oceans to sustaining human life, and evaluate the impact of human activity on the health of the oceans.

Our unit understandings included:

• The oceans supply natural and economic resources that are essential to sustaining human life on earth.

• Human activity impacts the diverse life forms found in the oceans.

• Ocean patterns such as tides and currents affect the human environment.
