Fine Arts

During this unit students recognized, critiqued, and produced the basic elements of visual and performing arts through the study of influential artists and composers.

Our unit understandings included:

• The elements of art such as line, shape, color, and texture are utilized to express meaning.

• The elements of music which include rhythm, melody, harmony, and dynamics are utilized to create meaning.

• The arts change over time, both reflecting and shaping change in society.

• Technology has changed the ability to both create and access art in all forms.
