Chemistry

During this unit students explored the properties and composition of matter and the changes and interactions that take place with matter.

Our unit understandings included:

• The understanding of chemistry has evolved over time through the contributions of influential chemists.

• All matter has unique characteristics.

• Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes that take place with matter.

• Chemical change is the reorganization of atoms through the interaction of one substance with another or the transformation of a substance.
