We would like to welcome each of you to our virtual 5th grade showcase. As part of the Katy ISD Challenge program, students are required to complete a research project during their fifth grade year. While students complete many research projects over a wide variety of topics during their time in challenge, the fifth grade showcase project is special because it is showcased at the district level.
Our students have worked this year to select topics, craft deep thinking questions, research using a variety of tools, write detailed papers, and create presentations on a topic that they are passionate about. Some of our students chose to work independently, while others chose to work with a partner.
As challenge teachers we are happy to present to you the hard work of the fifth grade challenge students at Bonnie Holland Elementary, Odessa Kilpatrick Elementary, and Roosevelt Alexander Elementary.
