Astronomy

During this unit students explored man’s attempts to understand the universe and its celestial bodies from early times to the present.

Our unit understandings included:

• Astronomy is the study of the universe and the celestial objects that make up the universe.

• Throughout the ages, people have attempted to understand celestial objects.

• Modern day attempts to understand the universe make use of advanced technology including manned and unmanned space exploration.
