Back to School Night - Save the Date
We are excited to welcome all families to our Back-to-School Night/Literacy Night on Thursday, September 25th.
There will be three sessions. Please choose one of the following for each child’s teacher to visit the classroom:
4:30-5:00 p.m.
5:15-5:45 p.m.
6:00-6:30 p.m.
During the classroom visit session, you will have the opportunity to learn about daily school routines and what your child is learning. If you have one child at Baker-Butler, plan to attend one 30-minute session. If you have two children, we invite you to attend two separate 30-minute sessions, etc.
Concurrently, stations will be set up around the school related to reading and literacy. Look for more information in your child's folder and in next week's Bear Bulletin.
Since parking is limited15 minutes between each session, we encourage families to carpool or walk if possible. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
Reminders about routines and procedures.
If you would like to be able to chaperone field trips or help out during the school day, please follow these two steps to begin the registration process.
Remind is a classroom communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child’s learning. Remind is free to use, and you’ll be able to get and send messages on any device—even a simple text message from your phone! Remind offers direct, two-way messaging with teachers.
Easy Setup: You’ll receive an email or text when your child’s school or teacher is ready to connect with you on Remind. Just follow the instructions to set up your account.
Language Support: Remind will send messages in your home language, and you can reply in your language too. Your messages will be translated for the teacher. (¿Cómo puedo recibir mensajes en otro idioma?)
Download the App: We encourage you to download the Remind app for iOS or Android to keep in touch more easily. If you prefer, you’ll also continue to receive messages via text or email.
If you are not receiving Remind messages from your child's teacher, please contact your child's teacher or the front office (434) 974-7777. For more details, watch the video demo below and check out the Remind parent guide for tips on getting started.
