Hello families!
Is your family in need of food assistance? We can help – please reach out to Laura Longhine and the counseling team at llonghine@k12albemarle.org. We can connect you with resources in and outside of school, including additional food the week of Thanksgiving.
Looking for ways to help? Consider donating or volunteering at a local food bank like Loaves and Fishes. Every donation to area food banks helps provide meals for families here in our community. Or reach out to the counseling team if you’d like to help with efforts at school.

Join Us! Our Next PTO Meeting is on Tuesday, Nov 11th: Please join us virtually on Zoom for our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, Nov 11th from 7:00-8:00 pm. We’ll have Ralph Bradley, Director of School Safety and Security for ACPS, as our guest speaker. He’ll be talking to us about SROs and standard response protocol during a crisis.

Family Partners in Special Education Day
Families and educators are invited to attend Family Partners in Special Education, a free conference hosted by the Piedmont Regional Education Program Parent Resource Center on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Charlottesville Area Technical Education Center (CATEC). This energizing event will focus on building partnerships that support students with special needs, featuring workshops on navigating the IEP process, accessing local resources, and collaborating effectively with educators.
