Bear Bulletin

The Lost and Found is getting pretty full. When it's chilly in the morning and warms up during the day,  students are more likely to leave jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts behind. If you know your child left something at school, they can check the Lost and Found on the way into school or at a time their teacher says is okay. Otherwise, families can check after arrival or before dismissal by checking in through the office. Also, stop by to collect any missing items during Back to School Night.

Our school's Student Activities committee is beginning to plan some school. The first one is coming up next week! For jersey day, students are invited to wear a shirt or jersey representing their favorite team. Team can mean sports team or other teams or clubs (e.g., dance,  chess, robotics). Wearing a Baker-Butler t-shirt also shows team spirit!

Elementary school spirit days, where students and teachers dress up with a theme, are valuable for fostering school unity, boosting morale and engagement, encouraging creativity and self-expression, and building positive relationships between students and staff. These events create a sense of belonging and community by breaking from the routine, offering a fun way to connect, and reinforcing positive school culture and traditions.  

For these days, we kindly ask that students refrain from wearing masks, other equipment/accessories, or bringing props that relate to the theme. If they do, they will be asked to put them away for the day.  Keep it simple.
