Baker-Butler where... Together we learn, Together we belong.
March 19, 2026
This is a weekly publication for Baker-Butler families. Each week's edition is published on the Home page. Previous editions are linked and titled by date.
We value strong partnerships with our families and believe that staying connected to your child’s school experience matters. Visiting the school is one important way to stay engaged and informed.
To ensure a safe, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students and staff, we ask that all visits follow a few simple guidelines:
Check in at the main office upon arrival so we can welcome you and provide a visitor badge. Please bring a valid ID. If you are volunteering for a classroom activity, PTO event, field trip, or providing instructional support, be sure you have completed the volunteer application process by submitting the ACPS Volunteer Form well in advance. This approval needs to be renewed annually.
Schedule visits in advance, especially if you would like to meet with a teacher or observe in a classroom. This helps us minimize interruptions to instruction. Also, notify your child's classroom teacher if you are planning to visit to have lunch with your child.
Keep office visits brief and purposeful during the school day as our main office works to support teachers, students, families, and other visitors. Visits such as dropping off forgotten items, checking the Lost & Found, or bringing medicine to the nurse do not require advance notice; however, these visits may coincide with busy times in the main office and clinic. Please plan to sign in and be patient as our office staff members assist everyone.
Communicate respectfully and privately about any concerns. We are always here to listen and partner with you, and we want to ensure those conversations happen in a way that supports a positive school climate for all.
We are grateful for your partnership and your role in helping us maintain a safe, supportive, and focused environment where every student can thrive.
It's that time again! If your child has lost a sweatshirt, jacket, or coat, please check out the lost and found. All items will be donated at the end of the day April 3, 2026.
Yearbook Orders: It's Yearbook Time!
Yearbook order forms will be going out next week but you can order online now (highly encouraged) by visiting https://inter-state.com/order and enter code: 0347NX. To order by cash or check (exact change only please), wait for the order forms and send it back with your child. Books are $22 this year, and the order deadline is April 3rd. A very limited number of books will be available after the deadline for $25.
The Yearbook Committee is working on this year's book and we would love pictures from this school year! We're looking for photos from Family Nights, musical performances, snow days, first day of school, etc. You can upload directly using the link below. There are pre-selected categories and it's helpful if you include tags with your photos, like teacher name and grade.
