Week of April 19
Students learned about different coping skills they can use when they feel angry or upset.
Week of March 28
Students listened to a story called: "I'm Gonna Like Me!". They then got to share things about themselves that they loved!
Week of March 21
Students participated in a group discussion and watched a video on team work! We talked about the different places we use teamwork: school, home, friends and community!
Week of March 11
Students learned the importance of picking up after ourselves and that everything should have a spot so when we need to find something, we know where to go!
Week of February 21
Students watched a video that showed the important of getting our work done and not putting it off. First work, then play!
Week of February 7
Students listened to a story called Heartprints, where it taught students to send heartprints to their friends and family throughout their day. Heartprints could be things like waving, smiling, hugs, helping someone up, being a good listening, cleaning your room, being kind and caring, etc!
Students watched a video lesson on how to get along with others. We talked about how we treat people makes a difference on how they will treat us!
Week of Jan 3 & 10
Students watched a video about the importance of friendship and sometimes if we spend too much time in front of a tv or videogame, our friends can sometimes feel sad or left out.

Students learned the Cyber 5 Rules! We talked about different ways to stay safe when playing games and watching videos online.
Week of Dec 13
Students participated in a discussion on kindness and talked about what it looks like at home, school, playground and within the community!
Week of Dec 6
Students listened to a story called "My Body Belongs to Me". We talked about good touch/bad touch and who our trusted adults are that we can go to for when we need help!
Week of Nov 29
Students read a story called Finkelhopper Frog that told a story about a frog who tried to run. All the other animals made fun of him because he ran different. In the end they realized that frogs don't run, they hop! We talked about how everyone is unique and different in our own ways
Week of Nov 8
Students met our final jellybean friend, Ornery Ordean. He has a hard time being nice to his friends and needs help making good behavior choices. The students went through a variety of social situations and talked about what the right choice would be.

Students met another jellybean friend, Friendly Francine! She taught the students about the importance of being kind and friendly!

Students met Me, Maureen who taught them to love themselves on the inside and out!

Students met Decision Making Dean who taught them how to positive choices!
Week of September 27
Students completed another lesson of Emotional ABCs and was introduced to our next jellybean friend, Emotional Eugene! He taught us different ways we can cope with feeling sad.
Week of September 21
Students completed Lesson 4 of Emotional ABCS and we talked about sportsmanship! They learned different ways we can win nicely and things we can say to our teammates.
Week of September 13
Students talked about Homecoming some traditions our community does to celebrate being Tea Titans! We talked about how we all can come together to build great things by sharing ideas with one anther. All students in the school colored a block that was incorporated into this piece of art that is displayed in the lunch room!
Week of September 6
Students completed lesson 3 of Emotional ABCs and met our first jellybean friend named Angry Arlene. She taught us that it's okay to get angry but we must handle our strong emotions in appropriate ways!
Week of August 30
Students completed Lesson 2 of Emotional ABCs and learned how our feelings are like the weather! We also talked about having good manners at home, school and with friends!
Week of August 23
This week we started learning our Emotional ABCs! This is a program that helps students recognize how they feel, pause and make a positive choice with their actions. We will complete 1 lesson each week.
We also talked about rules and why they are important!

Students learned the role of a school counselor and we also talked about the Zones of Regulation.
