Week of May 9

Students learned the last two habits of the Seven Habits of Happy Kids! We learned Habit #6 and how to work together. Habit 7 talked about how balance is best!

Students participated in a  listening activity and learned we need to listen with not only our ears, but our heart and our eyes.

Students talked about different ways we can 'think win-win'

Week of March 14

Students learned the importance of getting our work done first and then playing

Week of February 7

Students learned habit #2: Begin with the end in mind or have a plan. We talked about different ways we make plans--Short term goal, long term goals, making to-do lists, etc.

Week of January 24

Students learned the Cyber 5 Rules of internet safety and read the story: Nerdy Birdy Tweets! The story talked about how internet games can be fun but to also remember to play with your friends!

Week of Dec 6 

Students watched a video that talked about the importance of body safety and what to do if you ever feel uncomfortable.

Week of Nov 8

Students started the 7 Habits of Happy Kids where they learned habit #1: Be Proactive. We focused on how we are in control of our words and actions

Week of Oct 25

Students talked and learned about what it means to make positive, healthy choices. There always is a lot of questions and some story sharing during this type of lesson. I always encourage students ask questions to their parents.

Week of September 27

Students explored three possible ways we tend to solve problems:

-Snail: hide, cry, pout, don't ask for help

-Snake: push, shove, yell, interrupt

-Best Self: using 'I Feel' statements and standing up for ourselves in a calm voice.

Week of September 13

Students talked about Homecoming some traditions our community does to celebrate being Tea Titans! We talked about how we all can come together to build great things by sharing ideas with one anther. All students in the school colored a block that was incorporated into this piece of art that is displayed in the lunch room!

Week of August 23

Students were welcomed back to the GOLD classroom where we talked about having a positive attitude even in situations we don't like!
