Volunteer Job Description

Position Overview:

Assist library staff with a variety of projects to enhance community services

Responsibilities:

• Clean & shelve library materials.

• Straighten shelves, computer stationms, Storytime Room & Community Room.

• Maintain a clean and organized library.

• Assist program coordinators with library programs and preparations.

• Assist staff with additional assignments as needed. 

• Somes assignments require the ability to lift heavy boxes. 

Training/Support:

• Orientation training provided by the Volunteer Coordinator.

• Additional training and support from staff as necessary. 

Qualifications:

• Age 13 or older. 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Work well independently and with others.

• Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.

Commitment:

• A commitment of 10 hours or more , in total. 

• Weekly hours flexible, set with Volunteer coordinator at the time of orientation.
