CADAA - California DREAM Act
The California Dream Act allows non-US citizens who meet the requirements below to apply for and receive state financial aid at California public and private colleges and private scholarships administered by California public colleges.
Students applying for the California Dream Act must meet the following Assembly Bill (AB) 540 qualifications:
Attended a California high school for a minimum of three years (does not need to be consecutive)
Graduated or will graduate from a California high school or passed the General Education Development (GED)
Will register or enroll in an accredited and qualifying California college or university
If applicable, complete an affidavit to legalize immigration status as soon as eligible
Do not hold a valid non-immigrant visa. *If you have Temporary Protected Status or hold a U Visa select, you may be eligible
California Dream Act Application information is not shared with federal databases. Student and parent information is protected by the same privacy and information security laws and safeguards as all other applicants.
