Ode to Waffles

Warm toasted delight,

With many square pockets in sight.

With a beautiful golden color,

Waffles are the antidote for hunger.

You can eat them with syrup or,

You can eat them without.

But either way, I want them in my mouth.

A breakfast from Heaven above

A good feeling on my tongue.

Without waffles, I would die

And cry to the angels in the sky.

As crazy as it sounds

I just cannot live without waffles around.
