When taking a moment to look ahead 

(Or look behind) 

Also take a moment to look at where you are now. 

Like the middle child, the present is often forgotten. 

Take a moment to breathe through both nostrils, 

Because one could’ve chosen violence and decided not to work that day.  

Take a moment to hug your grandparents, parents, pets, or any other loved ones, 

Because one day they’ll be out of reach. 

Take a moment to look in the mirror and thank your body; 

It’s gotten you this far in life, no telling where it’ll take you next.

Look at the sky at night and appreciate the moon 

Before a billionaire takes it over. 

And take a break from looking at the news.
