Haiku #1
The chill wintry air
Hits harsh against their faces:
Somber as the sky.
Haiku #2
Though you screamed for help
And blood gushed out from your wounds,
No one believed you.
Haiku #3
You realize that
They will never accept you
The way that you are.
Haiku #4
Uncovering there:
Buried beneath the floorboards,
You: rotting away.
Haiku #5
Figures in the dark
Lurk, seeming almost as harsh
As the bitter air.
Haiku #6
To the waving sea,
I ask, “for whom do you wave?”
It replies with, “you.”
