Echo Trail Middle School Weekly Newsletter
September 1 , 2025
Hello Wolf Pack Families!
We hope you are enjoying your Labor Day today. There is no school today, but we wanted to send out our newsletter on its regularly scheduled time to give you the latest on all the exciting things happening at Echo Trail.
Last week, we had an awesome week of athletics! Congratulations to all of our teams who competed and added more wins for our Wolf Pack. We also had our “Kindness Week” and it was a hit with our students. It was wonderful seeing our students demonstrate each theme each day, and truly embody the T in our GREAT Pillars - Treat Yourself and Others with Kindness.
Just a reminder that Chromebooks will begin coming home with students on Tuesday, September 2nd. Please be patient with us as we begin this process—students who have recently enrolled, or whom have not returned the form, may take a little longer to be assigned a device. Once a student receives their Chromebook, they will need to bring it home each day and ensure it is fully charged. Devices should be ready to use in preparation for MAP testing, which begins on Thursday, September 4th. Thank you for your support as we work to make this a smooth process for everyone!
Open House is this Thursday, September 4th. Due to our parking availability, we ask that you please adhere to these time slots: Families with the last name A-K will come from 5:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. and families with the last name L-Z will come from 6:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Open House is an opportunity to experience a “day in the life” of your student and follow their schedule. We will start in the gym for a brief general meeting and PTSA updates. Then you will meet your student’s teachers, learn about them, topics/skills for the year in their class, homework expectations, how you can help at home, and Chromebook expectations.
This coming Saturday, September 6th, we have two wonderful events: Middletown Parade and Mrs. Salamon’s Memorial Volleyball Tournament. We invite families and students to wear their ETMS gear and colors to join us in representing our school during the Middletown Parade. Once we are informed of our spot in Eastern High School’s Parking Lot, we will send out communication. This is open to all ETMS families. The Salamon Memorial Tournament will be held all day at ETMS. We also look forward to you joining us as we remember and celebrate Mrs. Salamon.

The Wolf Pack is hard at work in the first grading period! Check out what your student is learning in their ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies classes.
All teachers at Echo Trail use Standards Based Grading. This means that grades will be communicated as a 4, 3, 2, 1, or 0 and focus on what students know and can do in relation to specific state standards. Click this link to learn more and reach out to your child's teacher or counselor if you have questions.
If your student has an academic question or social-emotional need, you can reach our counselors or Mental Health Practitioner by filling out the Counselor Google Form.

Echo Trail Middle School Clubs – Sign Ups the Week of September 8th
We are excited to announce that Echo Trail Middle School Clubs will be introduced the week of September 8th during Team Time!
Clubs are a great way for students to get involved, explore their interests, and make new friends. Participating in clubs helps students feel connected to our school community, build relationships with peers and staff, and develop a strong sense of belonging. Whether your child is interested in academics, the arts, service, or hobbies, there’s something for everyone!
Sign-ups will be shared in the Wolf Pack Weekly via a Google Form. Only parents can sign up their student. We encourage all students to find a club (or two!) that excites them and join in the fun.

These teams in most cases will have large volumes of student interest, resulting in these teams having to make cuts due to roster restrictions, spacial restrictions, equipment, safety, etc.
If you have a student athlete that is participating in a fall sport currently, they may not participate in any winter activities until the conclusion of their fall sports team. Coaches will send out further information as the winter participation windows begin to open.
We would love for you to sign up for a PTSA Membership.

We will need volunteers throughout the school year. Please fill out this form so we can have you on our volunteer email list.
Does your student have spirit wear or school uniforms that no longer fit? Or maybe apparel from a previous grade-level team that your student is no longer on? PTSA is partnering with the FRC to replenish clothing for students and families in need. You can bring donations to the front office or email PTSA to make other arrangements.
Any questions about PTSA, feel free to email echotrailptsa@gmail.com

If you are the first car with a student to unload, pull all the way around to the white line before unloading. Once the line has stopped, students can exit out the passenger side anywhere from the white line to the main entrance and enter through the gym.
All students MUST come through the car rider line and exit in the unloading zone. They cannot be let out in the parking lot, on Echo Trail, or in the bus parking lot.
