Hello Wolf Pack Families!
Thank you to all of our families who were able to come to our Orientation/Registration day last week. We really enjoyed connecting with you and getting ready for a grEaT school year. Thank you to our wonderful PTSA supporting us in a variety of ways with volunteers. Below are the slide decks we reviewed for your reference.

Student Station Slide Decks:
The first day of school is Thursday, August 8th. Our school day begins at 7:30 and ends at 2:10. The building will be open at 7:00 a.m. to receive students. Please make sure to pay attention to the adults directing traffic if you are dropping your student off (a.m.) or picking them up (p.m.). Friendly reminder to please take any pictures prior to drop off, have your student ready to exit your car when it is your turn to keep the line moving. We appreciate your patience as we all learn the car rider system and make it as efficient and safe as possible.
Another friendly reminder: your student does not need to bring a backpack the first two days of school. We will be conducting a two-day student conference for 6th and 7th grade students to learn what we expect of them at Echo Trail. Students need something to write with, a folder, 1 notebook, and *optional lunch/water bottle (secure top if they drop them to prevent spills/accidents). The first two days will be our first example of doing things different to maximize our time with our Wolf Pack!
We are kicking off year two as a school and building upon our legacy as the Echo Trail Wolf Pack!

Parents, please complete the Education Benefits Form!
As you may know, all JCPS schools now participate in the Community Eligibility (CE) Provision, so all JCPS students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge, regardless of income or completion of this form. However, to determine eligibility for various additional state and federal program benefits that your child may qualify for and to determine funding for your school, we need all families to complete this online EBF form.
Please make sure to fill out the Educational Benefits Form: jcps.me/EBF
Thanks for your attention in this manner!
The JCPS transportation routing team has been working hard to match each bus rider with the closest, safe bus stop. Bus stop information will be uploaded and updated daily to Bus Teller. Bus numbers and pickup and drop-off times are subject to change, so families should continue to check Bus Teller frequently before the first day of school, Aug. 8. Bus Teller can be found at JCPSFirstDay.com.
The 485-RIDE (7433) transportation help line is now open to help ensure parents and guardians have the transportation information they need before the first day of school. JCPS staff will be answering hotline calls from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, though those hours could be adjusted depending on call volume.
*At this time, students are not allowed to ride home with another student on a school bus which is not their normal assigned bus.
We'd love to have you participate in field trips and other volunteer opportunities. Head to the JCPS Volunteer page (Get Involved) and click Volunteer Talent Center to fill out a background check form. Background checks are kept on file with the district and are good for 5 years.

Your student athlete will not be able to participate in any activity (including practices) until they have completed the Echo Trail Athletics Physical Packet (ignore the school year -- it's still the same packet as last year). This includes the WHOLE packet. Use the cover sheet as a checklist to complete all required forms in order for your student athlete to be eligible to start their desired activity.
The "Parent Permission/Release Form" must be completed and must be taken to get notarized in order to be verified (places to notarize: banks, UPS stores, etc). The sports physical portion of the packet (pgs. 7-9) must be completed and signed by a doctor or certified medical professional to verify the form, stating that your athlete is cleared to participate. Read the instructions on page 10 about the remaining pages of the packet. If you do not have a FULLY COMPLETED packet to present to an Echo Trail Coach or Administrator by the start of the first practice, your student athlete will not be allowed to participate until the full packet has been completed and turned in.
Thanks for your attention to this! We Expect greaT things from this Wolf Pack!
