Thank you for coming out last week for our 6th Grade Orientation night! If you missed it or would like to revisit the slides presented during out Wolf Pack 101 session, you can see them here!
JCPS has a quick link for back-to-school forms and information: jcps.me/parents
Under Parent Place you will need to complete the following forms: nurse consent to treat at school, student information enrollment form, student residency, student support handbook, and more.
These forms need to be completed as soon as possible for a smooth start of the school year.
Click here for a visual walkthrough of the Parent Portal site.
Another very informative link for parents is the main JCPS Parent website, jefferson.kyschools.us/parents.
You can set up a parent portal account by clicking Parent Portal tab if you don't already have one. FYI, Parent Portal is locked down by the district until the first day of school, August 9th.
Finally, we'd love to have you participate in field trips and other volunteer opportunities. Click on the blue box Get Involved: to complete the Volunteer Talent Center for background check. Background checks are kept on file and good for 5 years.
If you have questions about bus transportation, please DO NOT call the number on the transportation letters that went out last week. From 9am to 1pm, you can call 502-546-7019 or 502-546-7218. Courtesy of Legend at Pope Lick Adventure Outpost, join us for a family friendly night as we kick-off the 2023/24 school year! This is a collaborative event for Echo Trail Middle School Families to attend a free outdoor movie night for a showing of Twister (1996). Families are encouraged to wear ETMS Spirit Wear, bring blankets and lawn chairs. Coolers are strongly discouraged. This free event is made possible by your support of the vendors, concessions, and fun activities.
In addition to the film and food vendors, there will be a full playground, corn hole, oversized yard pong, oversized connect 4, Kan Jam, Spike Ball, a 9-hole mini golf, and more! We encourage families to RSVP using the Creature Feature Facebook event page. You can also learn more about this event and future events by following Legend at Pope Lick Adventure Outpost on Facebook. Click here to see the Facebook event page.
Special thanks to Legend at Pope Lick Adventure Outpost for the invitation!

There's still time to join football! We have practice this week on Monday and Tuesday at Eastern's practice field (in front of Hite Elementary) @ 5:30.
You'll need a completed sports packet, which includes a sports physical, in order to participate. Bring a water bottle, cleats (non metal), and wear shorts. The practice schedule will change once school starts.

Parents/Guardians,
We are excited for our first ever Echo Trail athletics season to begin! We have several Fall sports already starting tryouts and practices. Here are a few quick notes to share as we get started.
Your student athlete will not be able to participate in any activity (including practices) until they have completed the Echo Trail Athletics Physical Packet. This includes the WHOLE packet. Use the cover sheet as a checklist to complete all required forms in order for your student athlete to be eligible to start their desired activity.
The "Parent Permission/Release Form" must be completed and must be taken to get notarized in order to be verified (places to notarize: banks, UPS stores, etc). The sports physical portion of the packet (pgs. 7-9) must be completed and signed by a doctor or certified medical professional to verify the form, stating that your athlete is cleared to participate. Read the instructions on page 10 about the remaining pages of the packet. If you do not have a FULLY COMPLETED packet to present to an Echo Trail Coach or Administrator by the start of the first practice, your student athlete will not be allowed to participate until the full packet has been completed and turned in.
Thanks for your attention to this! We Expect greaT things from this Wolf Pack!

Can my kid play another sport? Yes!
As much as I would love all runners to be at every practice and meet, we understand that may not be possible. I strongly recommend attending as many practices as possible, but this isn't a "make every practice, or you're off the team" kind of sport. Just give us a heads-up and we'll work out the details.
Email us for questions and detailed information. Thanks!
