Hello Wolf Pack Families!
The 24-25 School Year is around the corner and we are thrilled to welcome our 6th and 7th grade classes back on Thursday, August 8, 2024. We will communicate with you each week (Monday morning via email) with our “Wolf Pack Weekly.” Our hope is it will give you up to date information as well as a glance at the week and upcoming events. To ensure you have the most up-to-date information, please check your information in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (email addresses, phone numbers) so you receive our communications throughout the year. I believe communication is key with our families as we develop a strong partnership to provide the best education possible for your child.
We are excited to embark on our second year as a school. The entire Echo Trail Staff is committed to working hard for our students and families. This year we will continue to build upon our traditions and legacy as a school community. Starting with this Thursday we invite you to our Wolfpack Orientation and Registration Day! Scroll down for details.
I would also like to introduce our new staff here! Make sure to bookmark our website for a one stop location for information as well.

The JCPS transportation routing team has been working hard to match each bus rider with the closest, safe bus stop. Bus stop information will be uploaded and updated daily to Bus Teller. Bus numbers and pickup and drop-off times are subject to change, so families should continue to check Bus Teller frequently before the first day of school, Aug. 8. Bus Teller can be found at JCPSFirstDay.com.
The 485-RIDE (7433) transportation help line is now open to help ensure parents and guardians have the transportation information they need before the first day of school. JCPS staff will be answering hotline calls from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, though those hours could be adjusted depending on call volume.
We'd love to have you participate in field trips and other volunteer opportunities. Head to the JCPS Volunteer page (Get Involved) and click Volunteer Talent Center to fill out a background check form. Background checks are kept on file with the district and are good for 5 years.
This year, as we welcome back our rising 7th graders, we also have many new faces (and some familiar faces in new roles) to welcome into the Wolf Pack!

Parents/Guardians,
We are excited for Echo Trail athletics season to begin! We have several Fall sports already starting tryouts and practices. Here are a few quick notes to share as we get started.
We have a lot of athletics to choose from during all the seasons -- Fall, Winter, Spring and Year-Round. Check out the slide deck from the Athletics Night we had a couple weeks ago.
Your student athlete will not be able to participate in any activity (including practices) until they have completed the Echo Trail Athletics Physical Packet (ignore the school year -- it's still the same packet as last year). This includes the WHOLE packet. Use the cover sheet as a checklist to complete all required forms in order for your student athlete to be eligible to start their desired activity.
The "Parent Permission/Release Form" must be completed and must be taken to get notarized in order to be verified (places to notarize: banks, UPS stores, etc). The sports physical portion of the packet (pgs. 7-9) must be completed and signed by a doctor or certified medical professional to verify the form, stating that your athlete is cleared to participate. Read the instructions on page 10 about the remaining pages of the packet. If you do not have a FULLY COMPLETED packet to present to an Echo Trail Coach or Administrator by the start of the first practice, your student athlete will not be allowed to participate until the full packet has been completed and turned in.
Thanks for your attention to this! We Expect greaT things from this Wolf Pack!
