VOTER’S PLEDGE

under SVEEP-2024

 

The Islamia College of Science and Commerce organized a Voter’s Pledge ceremony under the SVEEP initiative to promote voter awareness and encourage students and faculty to actively participate in the democratic process. The event was organized SVEEP Committee in collaboration with NSS Unit III. The event emphasized the importance of voting as both a fundamental right and a civic responsibility, especially for first-time voters.

Prof. (Dr.) Tehmina Yousuf, Principal of the college, addressed the gathering, highlighting the crucial role of voting in shaping the nation's future. Prof Abdul Wahid Nodal Officer SVEEP also urged students to engage in ethical voting practices. Dr Nusrat Parveen NSS programme Officer Unit III read the pledge and was repeated by everyone present there.

Students and faculty took the Voter’s Pledge, committing to vote responsibly, free from any influence of caste, creed, or religion. Many students were present at the event, with great interest in voter registration and democratic participation. The event was a significant step in fostering awareness and promoting active involvement in the electoral process at the college.
