The Incubation Cell of Islamia College Srinagar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, successfully conducted a hands-on training program focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D Printing technologies. This initiative aimed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in these cutting-edge fields, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the region. The inaugural session was graced by the Principal of the host college Prof. (Dr.) Tehmina Yosuf who formally welcomed the Professionals, Experts & Dignitaries from other departments. In her address she highlighted the significance of embracing emerging technologies to drive economic growth and create employment opportunities. She stressed that students should come up with ideas and collaborate with MSME, Government of India to work on live projects, enhancing their problem-solving skills and technical proficiency. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Jath, Convenor Incubation Cell of the College highlighted the series of events and programs conducted by the Incubation Cell. Dr. Jath reiterated his commitment to organizing such programs in the future. Mr. Ajaz Hussain, top 50 global Innovator, Indian Delegate to Japan 2024who is an expert from the MSME Srinagar provided in-depth sessions on IoT emphasizing real-world applications and hands-on experience. Mr….in his presentation gave understanding the frameworks and communication protocols essential for developing robust IoT solutions. He highlighted the significance of embracing emerging technologies to drive economic growth and create employment opportunities in the region. Mr. Abdul Rouf Khan, Former faculty JKEDI, spoke on 3D Printing and gave examples of 3D-printed and showcased demonstrating the potential of 3D Printing in revolutionizing traditional construction methods. Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rajendran, Former ISRO Scientist, highlighted the transformative impact of these technologies across various industries. Discussions included recent advancements such as the construction of 3D-printed multi-storey buildings, demonstrating the potential of 3D Printing in revolutionizing traditional construction methods. The training program witnessed active participation from students across the streams. Participants expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the practical approach of the training, which enabled them to understand the intricacies of IoT and 3D Printing.
