PINK STAR CAMPAIGN:

 AWARENESS LECTUTE ON PINK POLLING BOOTHS

In reference to the communication received from the office of the District Election Officer Srinagar, Nodal Principal, Kashmir Division under the order No. 798/DEOS/2024/1273-82 dated 18/04/2024 and Order No. NKD/300 dated 19/04/2024, Pink Star Campaign: the awareness lecture on Pink Polling Booths was conducted on as per the schedule, received form the authorities on 06-05-2024. The event was inaugurated by the Coordinator SVEEP Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Prof Abdul Wahid where he deliberated about the importance of Voting in general for the masses and particular to the young generation of students who are going to cast their Vote first time. Next the lecture was given by Prof. Nofiya Yousuf where she aware the students about the idea of Pink Polling Booths. She said about the special arrangement for the women voters at the polling booths and empowerment of female students through knowledge about their voting rights. She also deliberated upon the initiative of the government to promote the gender inclusivity in elections. The events ended with the Vote of Thanks.
