Course Description:
Arabic A 12: This course emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, viewing and presenting. An emphasis on vocabulary and composition skills will be an on-going part of the program. The course includes studies of various literary genres: short story, poetry, and non-fiction. The development of critical reading and writing skills is a major emphasis of the course. In addition to that a general review of grammar and introducing new grammar lessons with emphasis upon usage.
Arabic B 12: language B —designed to provide students with the necessary skills and intercultural understanding to enable them to communicate successfully in an environment where the language studied is spoken.
SKILLS: Language B students develop their receptive, productive and interactive skills while learning to communicate in the target language in familiar and unfamiliar contexts. Students develop the ability to communicate through the study of language, themes and texts.
