IPS seeks to provide all students with the opportunity to succeed and reach their post-secondary goals. We look at each student’s individual needs and circumstances to create the best possible plan given our course offerings. 

An individual student’s pathway to graduation selection will be facilitated through group information sessions throughout the school year in grade 8, 9, and 10, as well as individual counseling sessions involving the student and parent as needed or requested. 

Diploma Pathways

Students will graduate with one of the following degree combinations.

• American diploma + IBDP full diploma (see the IB page for detailed requirements)

• American diploma* + IBDP course certificate

• American diploma*

IB information sessions are required for the Grade 10 students prior to the course selection process to enable those opting for either the full IB Diploma or some IB subjects to get familiar with the IBDP philosophy, overview of subject content and assessment requirements. In parallel, IB information sessions are offered to Grade 10 parents. Pleae see the IB page for detailed IB requirements.
