Course Description:
The main focus of the Critical Thinking course is not on students’ content and knowledge, but on skills. The objective is to engage students with various perspectives in order to foster international-mindedness. Students will analyze facts, evidence, observations and arguments and learn how to form a judgment by applying rational and unbiased evaluation. They will be exposed to ambiguity, uncertainty and questions with multiple plausible answers to effectively navigate and make sense of the world when encountering complex situations. They will be more aware of their own values, beliefs and assumptions. Through the Critical Thinking course, students will connect academic subjects by exploring underlying concepts.
