Course Description:
Students will develop their analysis skills by examining primary and secondary sources, as well as conducting an in-depth historical investigation using research techniques acquired during the course. History is a subject that promotes curiosity and encourages interpretation of multiple perspectives and opinions. Through studying history, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the past, which ultimately leads to a deeper comprehension of human nature and the current world. The course delves into the expansion of Japan, Germany, and Italy leading up to World War 1, and concludes with an examination of the causes of World War 2 and the rise of authoritarian leaders in the 20th century, specifically focusing on the rise and fall of Mao, Hitler, and Mussolini.
